In the referred dispute Riigi Kinnisvara AS filed a claim against RIITO Ehituse AS in amount over 1 million Euro.<\/p>\n<p>After 6 years long proceeding, the County Court decided that constructor cannot be liable for the consequences resulting from faulty building design. The court established that in a situation where constructor has been constructing according to the design provided by the orderer and sufficiently checked by the sub-contractor who has also drawn attention to the faults, the sub-contractor cannot be responsible for the related consequences (for instance, extended deadline of works).<\/p>\n<p>The judgment of the Harju County Court has not entered into force yet.
